Harris County, TX (February 9, 2024) On Friday afternoon, authorities are investigating the Sam Houston Tollway West traffic accident that left a female deputy hurt.

According to the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s office, the traffic collision happened in the 1000 block of the N Sam Houston Tollway West near Ella Boulevard.

Reports say that the deputy was conducting a traffic stop when a tow vehicle’s trailer became unhooked and hit the rear of the female deputy’s patrol vehicle.

Medics say that the deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities say that there were no other injuries reported.
