Salvador Arellano-Espinoza Arrested after Crippling Hit-and-Run Crash on 1200 W Henderson Avenue [Porterville, CA]

Injuries Reported in Porterville DUI Accident on 1200 W Henderson Avenue

PORTERVILLE, CA (April 4, 2024) – Tuesday night, Salvador Arellano-Espinoza was arrested in a crippling hit-and-run crash on 1200 W Henderson Avenue.

The incident happened at about 8:10 p.m. when officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian hit-and-run traffic collision in the 1200 Block of West Henderson Avenue.

Upon their arrival, they found the victim with major injuries. Then, they took the patient to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the suspect vehicle escaped the scene and was followed by a witness to a business in the 700 Block of South Jaye Street. There, officers found and contacted the driver of the suspect vehicle, Arellano-Espinoza.

Reports revealed that the pedestrian walked southbound across Henderson Avenue in an uncontrolled section of the roadway. Meanwhile, Arellano-Espinoza drove a vehicle eastbound on Henderson Avenue when he failed to stop for the pedestrian and hit him. Eventually, the suspect fled the crash scene.

Also, the authorities determined that Arellano-Espinoza was driving under the influence of alcohol when the collision happened.

Hence, they arrested him and booked him into the South County Detention Facility on charges of driving under the influence causing injury, and hit-and-run causing injury, with a bail set at $50,000.00.
