Carrie Simmons of Ridgefield Involved in 2-Motorcycle Accident on Highway 97A

Wenatchee, WA (August 15, 2022) On Sunday morning, 71-Year-Old Sally Walker of Olympia was sent to the hospital after a motorcycle crash on Highway 97A.

Reports say that the 2-motorcycle crash happened around 11:35 a.m. when Walker’s motorbike crashed into the motorcycle 57-year-old Carrie Simmons of Ridgefield was riding.

The Washington State Patrol says that traffic had slowed on the highway due to a vehicle leaving the roadway and going into the Columbia River.

Both southbound motorcyclists collided at Turtle Lane. The impact of the collision ejected Walker from her motorcycle.

Paramedics transported the 71-year-old Olympia woman to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Meanwhile, Simmons did not sustain injuries.
