Pickup Truck Crashes into Sound Wall on Highway 50 Leaving One Dead

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (April 25, 2019) – One person was killed following a pickup truck crash Monday morning in Sacramento.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:52 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 99.
 
According to the CHP, a silver GMC pickup truck had crashed into a concrete sound wall and bounced to the right shoulder.
 
One occupant, believe to be the driver of the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending family notification.
 
Details are sparse on what exactly transpired to cause the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
