SACRAMENTO, CA – One Killed in Crash on Highway 99 at Florin Road

Fatal Afternoon Collision on Highway 99 East of Florin Road

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 16, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a traffic accident Thursday afternoon in Sacramento.
 
The incident was reported around 1:06 p.m., on southbound Highway 99. First responders arrived just east of Florin Road shortly after.
 
Details are sparse on who was involved and what exactly caused the collision at this time. However, Sacramento firefighters confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The name, age and town of residence of the victim were not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
An investigation is still currently ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
