Multiple Victims Hospitalized after Collision on Mather Field Road

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 21, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning, on Highway 50.
 
Authorities received dispatch calls around 9:00 a.m., on westbound Highway 50 at Mather Field Road. According to Highway Patrol, three vehicles were involved in the collision.
 
Upon first responders arrival, two vehicles were found blocking the first and second lanes with major damage. The third vehicle was also recovered on the right shoulder.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, three victims sustained injures, and were transported to nearby hospitals as a result.
 
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how exactly it transpired. An investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
