Man Dead in West Carson Pedestrian Accident on Torrance Boulevard and Conradi Avenue

 
WEST CARSON, CA (December 27, 2021) – Monday night, Ryoichi Kobayashi died in a pedestrian crash on Torrance Boulevard.
 
The authorities received a report of the crash at 8:05 p.m. Moreover, it happened on the eastbound Torrance Boulevard, east of Conradi Avenue.
 
Reports initially stated that the incident was a hit-and-run. However, the subsequent press release didn’t indicate hit-and-run.
 
The coroner’s office identified the pedestrian as 63-year-old Ryoichi Kobayashi. Then, the authorities declared him dead at the scene.
 
According to the preliminary investigation said that a 36-year-old Torrance woman drove a 2019 Toyota eastbound on Torrance Boulevard. Then, it had just passed the intersection with Conradi Avenue at 35 mph in lane 1.
 
Afterward, Kobayashi walked from the north edge of Torrance Boulevard to cross to the south edge. As a result, the Toyota hit him.
 
At this time, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
