1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized after Riverside Auto Accident on Barton Street

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 8, 2020) – Late Tuesday morning, Russell Santos, 56, died and a person sustained injuries in a bus crash on Barton Street.
 
According to reports, the crash occurred at around 11:30 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 20-year-old Riverside driver of a 2000 Toyota Tundra traveled north on Barton Street.
 
However, the driver tried to make a left turn onto Krameria Avenue. At the same time, a small bus traveled south on Barton Street. The crash occurred when the two vehicles entered the intersection.
 
When the authorities arrived, they found a 56-year-old Riverside man, now identified as Mr. Santos, trapped in his overturned Ford bus. The authorities declared him deceased at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported the Toyota driver to a hospital with moderate injuries.
 
At this time, the authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as factors in the crash.
