Russell Hofeling Dead in Martinez Bicycle Crash on Arnold Drive
MARTINEZ, CA (April 9, 2021) – Thursday morning, Russell Hofeling died in a bicycle accident on 1800 Arnold Drive.
Reports revealed that officers came to a report of a vehicle crash at about 8:00 a.m. According to reports, the incident happened in the 1800 block of Arnold Drive. The authorities also found a male bicyclist suffering from wounds.
Responders took the man through an ambulance to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
However, they later declared the bicyclist dead at the scene. Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division identified him as Russell Lee Hofeling, 65.
Meanwhile, the vehicle’s driver stayed at the scene and helped with the investigation.
Moreover, a preliminary investigation revealed that alcohol and drugs didn’t play a role in the Martinez crash.
