Colbert Crash Kills Russell Brookshire, Injures Judith Meehan
Colbert, WA (October 03, 2021) – On Friday, Russell Brookshire 58-year-old motorcyclist of Chattaroy died in a Colbert Road motorcycle crash.
At the same time, an 81-year-old Judith Meehan of Colbert was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse west on Colbert Road. Meehan proceeded from a stop sign to enter the northbound lanes of State Route 2.
Meehan failed to yield the right of way to Brookshire, who was driving north on the highway.
As a result, Meehan crashed with Brookshire in the right northbound lane.
Meehan was wearing a seatbelt. Rescuers took her to the hospital.
On the other hand, Brookshire was not wearing a compliant helmet.
No drugs or alcohol were mentioned and charges are possible for Meehan.
