Russel Hilton Killed in Car Accident on Highway 542 and Deming Road [Deming, WA]

DEMING, WA (September 5, 2019) – A Deming male resident died in a car accident on Highway 542 on September 2.
 
The head-on crash occurred at about 5:46 p.m. 47-year-od Russell D. Hilton drove west on Highway 542 and Deming Road. His black Chevrolet pickup truck drove across the centerline. Hilton then struck 37-year-old Juan Escamillabonola’s white Dodge Ram pickup towing a trailer.
 
Authorities pronounced Russel Hilton dead at the scene. It’s unclear whether he wore a seatbelt during the collision.
 
Meanwhile, Escamillabonola of Mount Vernon sustained injuries. His two passengers, 32-year-old Rolando Ayon of Burlington and 33-Jose Godinez of Spring TX didn’t suffer injuries as well.
 
It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol placed a role in the crash.
