Run Yan Yu Dies in Vehicle Crash on East Eighth Street [Oakland, CA]

San Leandro Man Run Yan Yu Killed in East Eighth Street Crash

 
Oakland, CA (May 04, 2021) – On Tuesday, 70-year-old Run Yan Yu of San Leandro died in a vehicle crash on East Eighth Street.
 
Officers received the fatal accident report at about 8:23 a.m. at the 500 block area.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located Yu trapped inside a black four-door 2009 Nissan Altima. Apparently, his vehicle was struck by at least one other vehicle before finally resting at the intersection of Fifth Avenue.
 
The Oakland Fire Department firefighters assisted in extricating him from the vehicle. However, despite emergency life-saving measures, the authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the officers did not release further details about the crash and the other vehicles involved.
