LOS ANGELES, CA (February 7, 2020) – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday morning in the south Los Angeles area, police said.
 
The fatal incident happened around 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Florence Avenue and St. Andrews Place.
 
Police did not provide details of how the incident occurred, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office identified the victim as Ruby Cervantes, 37, of Los Angeles.
 
The involved motorist remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. The crash is still under investigation.
