Ruben Martinez Dies in Dirt Bike Crash on Valencia Road and Casino del Sol Drive in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (February 11, 2022) – Wednesday night, 45-year-old Ruben Martinez died in a dirt bike crash on Valencia Road and Casino del Sol Drive.

The fatal crash in Tucson happened at around 8:15 p.m. on February 9, near Ignacio M Baumea.

PCSD said a Kawasaki dirt bike was traveling eastbound on Valencia without a headlight when a Nissan sedan turned left on Casino del Sol Drive.

The dirt bike rider, Martinez, died at the crash scene. 

The driver of the Nissan stayed on scene and no injuries were reported. 

Investigators determined neither speed nor impairment was a factor in the crash.

Further investigation is ongoing.
