6 People Injured in Tulare County Injury Accident on Highway 198 and Road 196
TULARE COUNTY, CA (November 27, 2022) – Friday night, authorities arrested Ruben Martinez after a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 198 and Road 196.
The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Highway 198 and Road 196.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy Silverado ran a stop light for still unknown reasons and collided with another vehicle. Also, authorities confirmed that two more vehicles were involved in the collision.
Moreover, responders transported the Chevy driver, 32-year-old Ruben Martinez, to a hospital with major injuries. Then, paramedics transported the six occupants of the second vehicle, including five kids ages 6 to 13, to a hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, officials arrested Martinez on suspicion of DUI.
Meanwhile, the incident blocked eastbound 198 for an hour but has long since reopened.
The incident remained under active investigation.
