Phoenix, AZ (February 9, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, 38-year-old Ruben Joya Corrales died in a crash on 19th and Dunlap avenues.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Phoenix happened on February 9.

Phoenix Police said  Corrales was crossing mid-block when an eastbound vehicle struck him while he was in the roadway.

Officers pronounced him dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.

Police said the driver of the vehicle had no signs of impairment.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
