Couple Injured in Los Angeles Motorcycle Accident
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 22, 2019) – A couple sustained injuries in a motorcycle hit-and-run crash on 105 Freeway on May 21.
The vehicle did not hit the motorcycle but it led to the riders falling over. CHP considered the incident as a hit-and-run crash because the other person escaped, leaving the victims injured on the ground.
Ruben Borne and his wife Kathleen Jerski visited from Florida. They rode on the 105 Freeway on their way to LAX to return the rental motorcycle. Jerski caught the collision on her GoPro camera.
The vehicle driver tried to switch into the right lane and caused the collision. The vehicle then ran over Borne’s leg, who sustained a fractured ankle.
Jerski also sustained road rash injuries.
“What kind of a person leaves two people laying on the side of the freeway after causing an accident,” Borne said.
Reports revealed that the couple wore protective gear which probably saved their lives.
Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
