Rosita Lizarde Fatally Struck by Car at Arrowhead Avenue and 8th Street
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 22, 2019) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian crash Sunday evening in San Bernardino, authorities said.
The crash happened around 7:11 p.m. at the intersection of Arrowhead Avenue and 8th Street.
According to police, a female pedestrian was walking east on 8th Street in an unmarked crosswalk when a Nissan Pathfinder struck her. As a result, she suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Coroner’s officials identified the victim as Rosita Mendoza Lizarde, 56, of San Bernardino.
The driver, a 38-year-old woman, told officers that she did not see Lizarde before the crash.
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. This fatal crash remains under investigation.
