Rose Avenue Pedestrian Crash Kills 73-Year-Old Oxnard Man [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (March 7, 2024) On Monday evening, a 73-year-old Oxnard man was pronounced dead after the Rose Avenue pedestrian crash.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the auto-pedestrian collision happened at about 5 p.m. near the intersection of Rose Avenue and Fifth Street.

Authorities say that a northbound truck struck a male pedestrian crossing Rose, north of Fifth Street.

The crash caused serious injuries to the Oxnard man, and medics rushed the injured patient to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say that the truck driver stayed at the scene and was not harmed.

OPD are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian accident and have not released additional information at this time.
