Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 14 in Rosamond
ROSAMOND, CA (January 7, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car Monday night in Rosamond, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal incident happened around 6:15 p.m. on the southbound direction of Highway 14 at Rosamond Boulevard.
Details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, but a silver Nissan sedan was recovered on the right shoulder.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has been withheld by the Kern County Coroner’s Office pending next of kin notification.
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. CHP officials are still piecing together exactly what led up to the crash.
