Anaheim Crash Kills Rory Antoine, Injures Rafael Pacheco
Anaheim, CA (August 26, 2021) – On Tuesday, 61-year-old Rory Antoine, dies, while 54-year-old Rafael Pacheco, suffered injuries in a dump truck crash on Lincoln Avenue.
The fatal crash took place 12:45 p.m. in an apartment building near the 57 Freeway.
Investigating officers said Pacheco lost control of his dump truck and crashed into a vehicle stopped on the off-ramp.
Then, Pacheco drove across Lincoln Avenue and struck two more vehicles. He subsequently drove through a carport, into an apartment building, then into a second one.
Unfortunately, Antoine, an occupant of the first building died in the collision.
Immediately, paramedics rushed Pacheco and a 69-year-old male driver to UC Irvine Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol are still investigating the fatal crash. Though, they said Pacheco was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the fatal incident took place.
