Ronnie Heaton Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 70 in Saline County
Saline County, MO (September 4, 2024) – On Tuesday, 49-year-old Ronnie Heaton sustained serious injuries in a crash on Interstate 70.
A semi-truck passenger sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at mile marker 84 in Saline County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The report indicates that the crash happened when a 2022 Kenworth truck, driven by 57-year-old Jeffrey McInturff of Piney Flats, Tennessee, veered off the right side of the road and went through a ditch before returning to the roadway and overturning.
The truck’s passenger, 49-year-old Ronnie Heaton of Elizabethton, Tennessee, suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. McInturff, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.
The Kenworth sustained extensive damage, according to the report.
