39-Year-Old Ronald Steele Killed in Pedestrian Accident on China Grade Loop [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (November 16, 2024) –  39-year-old Ronald Steele, of Bakersfield, was fatally struck by a vehicle on China Grade Loop early Wednesday morning.

It was about 5:46 a.m. when the deadly pedestrian accident happened west of Bedford Way in Oildale.

According to the investigators, a Toyota was traveling west when Steele walked outside of a crosswalk into the path of the Toyota.

Officers said Ronald Steele was struck and killed at the scene.

The Toyota driver cooperated with CHP’s investigation.
