26-year-old Man Dead in Phoenix Motorcycle Crash near 19th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (October 14, 2019) – A 26-year-old man died in a vehicle and motorcycle crash near 19th Avenue on October 12.
The incident involving a Chevrolet Silverado and a KTM dual-sport motorcycle happened about 4:30 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.
According to police, Ronald Osterman, the motorcyclist, rode east on the intersection when he drove passed a car. He then crashed into the turning Chevrolet Silverado.
Despite wearing a helmet, the Ronald Osterman died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 69-year-old male Silverado driver underwent evaluation for impairment. Police clarified that impairment is not a factor in the collision.
Authorities also closed Glendale Avenue at both directions between 17th and 19th avenues. The road has since reopened.
