[UPDATE] Romero Castro and 7-Year-Old Girl Killed in Pittsburg Accident

 
PITTSBURG, CA (April 13, 2021) – Monday night, two people died, while seven more sustained injuries after a DUI crash on West Leland Road.
 
According to authorities, the Pittsburg accident occurred at around 6:05 p.m. in the 800 block of West Leland Road.
 
Reports revealed that a Chevy Camero driven by 25-year-old Christian Vargas travelled at a high rate of speed down Leland.
As a result, it collided with a Toyota Corolla driven by Romero Castro.
 
The force of the crash caused the Corolla to lose control, crashing into a tree.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced Castro dead at the scene. Meanwhile, three children were ejected from the car in the crash.
 
Furthermore, paramedics transported two children to an area hospital via helicopter. However, one of them, 7-year-old Sela, was pronounced dead later.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics also transported two passengers of the suspect vehicle to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
 
Additionally, police arrested Vargas after witnessing signs of impairment, and an empty bottle of Don Julio in his vehicle.
