1 Person Killed in Mesa Pedestrian Accident on Country Club Drive and US 60
MESA, AZ (November 14, 2024) – On Tuesday, Roman Vital Hancock died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Country Club Drive and US 60.
Reports said that the incident happened on Country Club Drive and US 60.
Mesa Police Department said that a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk. Paramedics pronounced the victim, identified as 33-year-old Hancock, dead at the scene.
Mesa Police confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment and speeding.
The incident blocked northbound Country Club Drive from U.S. 60 but has long since reopened.
Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
