Horrific Rollover Crash on Interstate 805 Led to Injuries [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (September 6, 2024) On Wednesday afternoon, a rollover crash on Interstate 805 sent 3 people to the hospital with injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision happened at about 3:18 p.m. on southbound Interstate 805, north of SR-163.

Reports say that the crash involved a Subaru SUV, a Ford Eco Sport, and a tractor-trailer combination vehicle.

Officials say that the Subaru struck the big rig causing the Subaru to veer off the road and to a ditch, momentarily, the Subaru re-entered the highway and crossed all lanes and crashed into a Ford Eco Sport driven by a 70-year-old San Diego man.

The driver of the Subaru, identifies as a 22-year-old man from San Diego, and his passenger, as well as the driver of the Ford, sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the big rig driver escaped injuries.

Authorities are investigating the horrific crash and have not released further information at this time.
