Tragic Rollover Crash on Highway 1 Under Investigation [Malibu, CA]

Malibu, CA (December 25, 2024) On Tuesday morning, a tragic rollover crash on Highway 1 left a driver dead and another with critical injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the horrific crash happened at about 10 a.m. in the northbound lanes, just south of the Constellation Road offramp.

Reports say that a rollover crash on Highway 1 near Vandenberg Village claimed the life of a Jaguar driver.

Authorities say that the Jaguar driver was heading southbound when the vehicle crossed the grassy median for unknown reasons, colliding with a northbound minivan. The Jaguar overturned and came to rest upside down off the roadway. The driver of the Jaguar died at the scene.

Emergency responders transported the minivan’s driver to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

CHP closed Highway 1 between Constellation Road and Hancock Drive for an investigation, which continued beyond 11:30 a.m. Authorities have yet to determine whether speed or wet road conditions contributed to the crash.
