Tragic Rollover Crash on Applewhite Road Kills 2 People [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (September 8, 2024) On Saturday morning, 2 people were killed while 2 others were hurt in a tragic rollover crash on Applewhite Road.

According to SAPD, the fatal crash happened at about 2 a.m. on the 12200 block of Applewhite Road.

Reports say that a white Cadillac Escalade with 4 occupants rolled over after the driver trying to to re-enter the road at a high rate of speed.

Officials say that the Escalade was speeding southbound on South Zarzamora Street when it veered off the road. The vehicle collided with a concrete drainage ditch causing it to rollover.

Authorities say that 2 of the 4 people inside were thrown out of the vehicle, officials pronounced them dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, 2 other occupants were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

SAPD is investigating the fatal crash and have not released additional information at this time.
