Ford Flex Driver Quinnon Gardner Killed in Angelina County Traffic Collision
Angelina County, CA (October 28, 2023) – Rolando Reyes, 36, of Lufkin, and Quinnon Gardner, 44, of Center, were both killed following a Highway 103 East head-on crash Thursday.
It was about 4:55 p.m. when the fatal collision happened near the river bridge.
Investigating officers said a Ford Flex driven by Gardner was eastbound while a 2009 Chevrolet pickup driven by Reyes was westbound while towing a trailer.
At the same time, Brian Massey, 42, also of Lufkin, war driving a westbound 2012 Chevrolet pickup on the freeway.
The accident report said that Gardner drove into the westbound lane and collided head-on with Reyes’ vehicle. Reyes’ trailer was disconnected and collided with Massey’s truck.
Unfortunately, Gardner and Reyes were both declared dead on the scene.
Massey, his passenger, and a passenger in Reyes’ truck, were not injured in this collision.
DPS officers are still investigating the fatal incident.
