1 Dead in Fresno County Auto Accident on Highway 168 and Auberry Road
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 7, 2023) – Sunday night, Roger Dean died in an impaired driving crash on Highway 168 and Auberry Road.
The incident happened just after 10:00 p.m. on Highway 168, east of Auberry Road.
According to reports, 38-year-old Roger Dean of Prather drove a Chevrolet Silverado without wearing a seatbelt. As he went east on Highway 168, east of Auberry Road, he let the vehicle go north off the road.
Then, he crashed into a dirt embankment until the truck overturned.
Eventually, the Silverado stopped, blocking both directions of the two-lane highway.
Also, the impact ejected Roger Dean and he succumbed to injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. Also, an 18-year-old passenger sustained major injuries. Responders took the 18-year-old to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
CHP suspects that Roger Dean was impaired by drugs or alcohol, or both.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
