Rogelio Hernandez-Ramos Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on 91st Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (January 23, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, 47-year-old Rogelio Hernandez-Ramos died in a two-vehicle crash on 91st Avenue and Thomas Road.

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around  3:22 a.m. on January 23.

Phoenix Police said the driver of a Nissan 350Z traveling west on Thomas Road didn’t stop for a red light and struck the van traveling south on 91st Avenue. 

The driver of the van, Ramos, died on the scene from his injuries. 

EMS then took the Nissan driver to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Detectives haven’t determined if speed or impairment contributed to the crash.

Further investigation is ongoing.
