Honda Driver Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea Killed in Vehicle Crash on Stewart Road [San Juan, TX]

San Juan, TX (December 14, 2024) – Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea, 76, was fatally injured following a vehicle crash on Stewart Road.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 1:48 p.m. on US 18 Military Road.

Investigators said a big rig driver was traveling north on Stewart Road when he disregarded a red flashing light with a stop sign and crashed into a Honda driven by Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea.

The authorities declared Rogelio Benavidez-Urrea deceased at the crash scene while the big rig driver was transported to a hospital.

DPS Troopers are still investigating this fatal collision.
