54-Year-Old Denair Man Dies after Crash outside Taylor ER Veterinary Emergency Hospital
TURLOCK, CA (October 1, 2018) – A man was killed Monday evening following a motorcycle crash on West Taylor Road. The deceased victim was later identified as 54-year-old Rodolfo Fernandez, a resident of Denair.
According to officials with the Turlock Police Department, the incident took place shortly 8:00 PM. A westbound motorcycle, operated by Fernandez, was approaching the Taylor ER Veterinary Emergency Hospital. At the same time, a Mazda 3 pulled out from the veterinary hospital onto the roadway. There, the motorcycle slammed into the rear of the vehicle.
Fernandez sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old driver of the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
The Turlock Major Accident Investigation Team will be investigating the incident to determine who was at fault and what factors possibly contributed to the collision. Additional information will be released, following the conclusion of the investigation.
