Roderick Thomas Dead in Horrific Two-Vehicle Crash on Sierra Highway [Acton, CA]

1 Person Killed in Acton Auto Accident on Sierra Highway and San Gabriel Avenue

ACTON, CA (October 2, 2024) – Monday night, Roderick Thomas died in a horrific two-vehicle crash on Sierra Highway.

The incident happened at around 6:27 p.m. on Sierra Highway and San Gabriel Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Nissan Sentra and dark colored pickup truck collided in the area for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash split the Nissan in half.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Nissan, identified as 76-year-old Thomas, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the pickup to a hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
