Rock Island Man Sheldon Tubbs Dies in Head-On Crash on Highway 28 [Rock Island, WA]

Rock Island, WA (November 05, 2021) – On Wednesday, 29-year-old Jose Rosasvaldovinos of Yakima was involved, while 34-year-old Sheldon Tubbs of Rock Island died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 28.

The fatal crash happened at about 5:45 p.m., five miles east of East Wenatchee.  

Investigators said Tubbs was driving an eastbound 1994 Ford Taurus when his vehicle left the highway on the right.

Then, he overcorrected and crossed the centerline hitting the passenger’s side of a westbound 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup.

Responding officers pronounced Tubbs dead at the scene. 

Moreover, Rosasvaldovinos, the pickup driver, was not hospitalized.  

Officers said they are still investigating this fatal incident.
