Rochester Man Airlifted in Three-Vehicle Crash on Pecan Street Southwest [Thurston County, WA]

Thurston County, WA (July 03, 2022) – On Saturday afternoon, a 60-year-old Rochester man sustained serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Pecan Street Southwest.

The traffic incident took place at about 3:15 p.m. near US 12.

According to the investigators, the 60-year-old man was driving a southbound 2016 Chevy Corvette on Pecan Street Southbound.

At the same time, a 46-year-old man from Vancouver, WA, was westbound on US 12 in a Ford F-150 pick-up truck. 

According to the authorities, the Corvette driver entered the intersection and was hit by the truck. 

Afterward, the debris from the collision struck another vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Rochester man.  This driver did not sustain injuries from the incident.

Moreover, the paramedics airlifted the 60-year-old Rochester man to a Seattle hospital.

Similarly, the driver from Vancouver sustained injuries. He was treated and cleared at the crash scene.

The investigators say that the cause of the traffic collision near US 12 was a failure to yield.
