Driver Sustains Injuries in Yakima County Fatal Collision
Yakima County, WA (February 19, 2023) – On Sunday, a driver sustained injuries following a head-on crash on Interstate 82 killing Robert Sweowat, 26, of White Swan.
The fatal traffic crash took place past 1:30 a.m. east of Wapato.
Responding officers said Sweowat was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the freeway. As a result, his vehicle collided head-on with a westbound vehicle.
Sweowat succumbed to his injuries at the scene while the other driver was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the Yakima County fatal collision.
