62-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Accident on Highway 9 in Arlington
Arlington, WA (April 21, 2020) – Friday afternoon, a 62-year-old motorcyclist named Robert Perrigoue died in a collision on 252nd Street Northeast.
Washington State Patrol say the incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m., on April 17. Dispatchers arrived to the area just north of Arlington, shortly after.
According to reports, Robert Perrigoue of Arlington rode a Harley Davidson bike south on Highway 9.
As the motorcyclist rode down on the roadway, a Jeep turned left in front of the bike. The two vehicles then collided at 252nd Street Northeast. Due to the impact of the collision, officials pronounced Perrigoue dead on scene.
Moreover, the 29-year-old driver of the Jeep from Camano Island, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Furthermore, the driver of the Jeep was not arrested.
The surrounding area on the highway near 252nd Street Northeast was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
