1 Killed in Quarts Hill Pedestrian Accident on 42nd Street West and West Avenue L
QUARTZ HILL, CA(September 27, 2022) – Sunday night, a deadly pedestrian crash on 42nd Street West and West Avenue L involved Robert Moreno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 10:07 p.m. Also, the collision occurred at the intersection of 42nd Street West and West Avenue L.
Reports revealed that a westbound 2004 Honda Element struck an 18-year-old pedestrian while walking in the traffic lane for still unknown reasons. Also, authorities said that the Honda driver, 52-year-old Robert Moreno of Lancaster, was unable to slow/stop the vehicle in time and struck the victim.
Moreover, responders confirmed that the teen succumbed to injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
