SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 14, 2023) – On Friday, Robert Juarez sustained injuries after a crippling hit-and-run crash on Whitewood Street near Military Drive.

The incident happened on Whitewood Street near Military Drive.

According to San Antonio police, a pickup truck backed into a pedestrian who was in a motorized wheelchair. Then, the pickup driver stayed at the scene after hitting the victim before a GMC SUV ran over the victim and dragged him down the street. Also, the GMC fled the scene after the collision without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim, 71-year-old Army veteran Juarez to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, officers cited the pickup driver while the GMC driver will face felony failure to stop and render aid charges.
