Robert Haley Dies in Tragic 2-Car Wreck on Highway 300 [Upshur County, TX]

Upshur County, TX (February 8, 2024) On Monday afternoon, Robert Haley of Ore City died in a horrific 2-car crash on Highway 300 that injured multiple others.

According to the East Mountain Police Department, the fatal crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. on the intersection of Hwy 300 and FM 726.

Reports say that 2 vehicles were involved in the crash. Officials say that the driver of one vehicle, later identified as Haley, was trapped and rescuers had to extricate the man out of his vehicle. However, Haley ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver and occupants of the other vehicle were taken by CHRISTUS EMS and Camp County EMS to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd in Longview.

Authorities are investigating the fatal collision and have not released additional information at this time.
