La Quinta Man Killed in Interstate 10 Crash Identified as Robert Fry
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (July 26, 2019) – Authorities identified 59-year-old Robert Fry of La Quinta as the man killed in a crash near Bob Hope Drive, Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Interstate 10, at about 9:11 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a truck began drifting to the left on the freeway. Then, Fry overcorrected to the right and traveled off the right side of the roadway. There, the vehicle flipped, coming to a rest on its roof.
Emergency responders pronounced Fry dead at the scene at 9:20 AM. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
The Cathedral City Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
