23-Year-Old California Valley Woman Dies in Rollover Accident near Belmont Trail
CALIFORNIA VALLEY, CA (March 30, 2019) – Authorities identified 23-year-old Robbie Lee Roe of California Valley as the woman killed in a rollover crash near Belmont Trail, Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on El Mira Road, at about 8:00 PM. Roe made an unsafe turning movement, causing her 2006 Ford Taurus to veer from a straight path of travel.
The vehicle left the dirt road and traveled down a small embankment. When Roe attempted to regain control of her vehicle, it rolled over once and landed on its wheels. Due to the remote location of the crash, the CHP located the wrecked vehicle two hours after the incident.
Emergency responders pronounced Roe, who was not secured in a seatbelt, dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to identify possible contributing factors in the fatal crash. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
