Traffic Blocked after Cerritos Crash on 91 Freeway
CERRITOS, CA (June 17, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, an auto accident on 91 Freeway shut down roads on 91 Freeway.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 4:40 p.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway at Pioneer Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle crashed and lost control. As it spun, it hit a vehicle and a signpost. Afterward, the signpost crashed onto the second car.
Due to the crash, the number 4 lane and the Norwalk Boulevard on-ramp remained blocked.
By 6:05 p.m., the crews cleared the scene and reopened the lanes.
At this time, it’s unknown whether injuries played a role in the crash.
May this be a reminder to all drivers that operating a vehicle is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly.
Put all distractions away, be careful around other travelers, and keep a safe distance from other vehicles around you. By being a defensive driver, you can minimize the risks of car accidents.
