Lanes Closed as Two Vehicles Collide near State College Boulevard
ORANGE, CA (November 27, 2018) – On Thursday morning, a driver’s road rage led to a car crash on 5 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:56 AM, just south of State College Boulevard. Authorities stated that the involved vehicles were a red Honda Fit and a Mazda SUV. Both drivers involved were reportedly fighting prior to the incident.
No injuries were recorded from the involved motorists, but paramedics were requested to the scene as a safety precaution.
The No. 5 and 6 lanes were closed while clearing operations took place in the area. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the incident, and the cause of the collision is currently under investigation. Additional information will be released to the public, once it is available.
