San Jacinto Auto Accident on Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road
SAN JACINTO, CA (January 7, 2021) – Tuesday, a crash on Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road led to road rage.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on northbound Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road.
As the Honda Accord and Chevrolet pickup crashed, both drivers stopped on the shoulder of the highway.
Meanwhile, witnesses confirmed that a female driver went out of her vehicle holding a can of pepper spray.
On the other hand, the second driver started making threats. Thus, a heated exchange transpired and caused both parties to allegedly use firearms.
Moreover, the Riverside County Fire Department paramedics came to the scene before the CHP officers. They tried to talk to the parties but because of the heated conversation, they stopped.
When the officers and sheriff’s deputies arrived by 11:00 a.m., they stopped the confrontation peacefully. The authorities didn’t take any weapons from the motorists.
Also, both motorists refused medical treatment.
