Vehicle Crashes into Guard Rail in Solo Collision near Summit Road
LOS GATOS, CA (March 30, 2019) – Lanes were closed after a car crash on southbound Highway 17, early Saturday night.
According to CHP, the collision took place at approximately 6:08 PM near Summit Road. Based on an initial report, a gray Hyundai Sonata was found at least 10 feet off the roadway. In addition, it was found on top of a concrete barrier after it crashed into the guard rail. No other car was involved in the incident.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding any injury sustained in the incident.
An approximately 25 feet of chain link fence and a steel beam support were taken out. A SigAlert was issued closing the No. 2 lane while clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area. An investigation was ongoing. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
