Fatal Motorcycle vs Pickup Truck Crash on State Route 201
Visalia, CA (August 26, 2022) – On Thursday, past 3:30 p.m., a 34-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in a Road 24 collision.
The traffic collision happened at the intersection with State Route 201 east of Kingsburg.
Officers say a 70-year-old man was driving a southbound pickup truck on Road 24.
At the same time, a 34-year-old motorcycle rider was westbound on State Route 201 at an unknown speed.
Moreover, the pickup truck driver had a controlled stop at Road 24. The motorcycle rider drove down State Route 201 and did not have a stop sign.
Reports say the driver told them he looked both ways before driving into the intersection to turn left.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist struck the side of the pickup truck and was thrown off his motorcycle.
The authorities declared the motorcycle driver dead at the scene. Officers say the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
In the meantime, officers are investigating the crash. They do not suspect alcohol was involved in the fatal crash on State Route 201.
