Car Crashes into Power Pole on East Alessandro Boulevard in Riverside Leaving One Person Dead
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 3, 2019) – One person was killed following a car accident early Thursday morning in Riverside.
The fatal crash happened just before 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of East Alessandro Boulevard and Meridian Parkway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white 2008 Toyota Scion crashed into an Edison power pole and landed into a field. Two bystanders stopped and tried to get the driver out of the car.
Paramedics arrived and attempted life-saving aid to the driver, but unsuccessful. The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A coroner’s personnel was immediately notified to conduct a full report.
It is unknown if other vehicles were involved. The fatal crash remains under investigation.
